Announcement: New series and also at least posting something
Wow.
Sure has been a long time, hasn't it? I sure had the best intentions when I started up this blog and I've certainly thought about those intentions whenever I check my credit card statement and remember I'm still paying to host this little corner of the internet: my own personal bot-bait.
I wanted this blog to serve as a way to keep those I loved back home apprised of our adventures when we moved out to Washington, but also as an outlet for creative expression when it caught my fancy, and as a place to bolster my career and share my thoughts on the low-code industry. It sure hasn't been that, has it?
And now our time in Washington is coming to an end and the blog remains a ghost-town, shivering in the shadow cast from a teetering mountain of untold stories and unshared pictures and videos. Take it from me, though: there is absolutely no sense in dwelling on what could have been. No comfort to be found in wandering around identifying "lasts" as you experience them. Instead, I am choosing to move on.
So in the spirit of moving on, let's! Recently I have decided to start up a creative writing class. The pull of my future includes creative works, writing, making videos, music, pictures. In the near future, I am even speaking at an OutSystems conference and getting interviewed about the subject on a podcast not long after. The point is I need to keep this skill sharpened.
In the interest, though, of reducing the barrier to re-entry, I am here to announce a new series of posts on this blog! As some of you on the mailing list (did any of you get alerted to this entry?) already know, I have been producing a podcast for my friend, Marian, for about 8 months. In that process, I have learned a LOT about what it takes to put together a podcast. It is top of mind, I am getting better at it, and I think the content would be interesting enough to share.
If anyone you know is interested in audio engineering, producing a podcast, or is just a dreamer that doesn't know where to start, go ahead and send them my way!
Oh, and while you're sharing online content with your friends, family, coworkers, bartenders, what-have-you; please also send them to check out our podcast, My Top Everything! They can find it on their favorite podcast app (yes, pretty much all of them) but this link would probably be the best thing to share:
Thanks, everyone! Looking forward to being back in the saddle again.
