Our New House Didn't Come With Standup Desks
Oh, and also, we bought a house! If this is how you're receiving the news, I am sorry. It turns out we were just barely equipped for the emotional enormity of the occasion. If you've ever moved before, I know I have your sympathy.

We managed to find ourselves a real gem in the heart of Northeast Minneapolis. One of those homes you can contact a librarian to learn more about simply because it's so old. Walking down the halls you can almost feel the vibrations left over from the lives lived there before we came along. Like a seashell, if you put your ear up to an air duct you would hear the hushed murmurs of a million conversations in mixed English, Polish, and Ukrainian.
The beating heart of old Nordeast and the Audobon Park area resides here. And boy, is it an OLD heart.
Everywhere I look, I am seeing a new project. Something to build, add, repair, patch, tape... It's all rather overwhelming. In the upcoming blog posts (which I am hoping to keep on top of) I am going to be chronicling our adventure into the frightening world of home ownership. Hopefully some of the stuff I learn can be of use to some other chump down the line. Otherwise, I can just keep the family up to date on how things are going.
